Today’s program is on how to plan your garden for the coming spring. Winter is a great time to determine how you want to structure your garden. Try drawing a scale reference map to determine where your beds will be in relation to sunlight and water. This will give you a great reference when time comes to plant and when you're harvesting. You can also determine what beds will be high water usage due to the plants you choose. Placing these plants near the water source will save you some time and effort. Utilize graph paper, with one square equaling about a foot of space in the garden. This will make the measurements easily transferable. Additional to a map, create a schedule for succession planting and a continuous harvest. All of these elements will make a detailed and picturesque garden plan that will help you realize your ideal garden space.
