Hello, this is Nicki Carpenter, 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent with North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Burke Center. Now, more than ever we feel the importance of getting our young people involved in social and life skill building activities. 4-H offers summer camp and leadership training opportunities that get young people engaged in hands-on learning experience while building relationships and providing life long memories. To encourage and support these young people, the Burke County 4-H office wants to assist in the costs for these endeavors. On Saturday, May 7,  we will host a fundraising yard sale to raise money for these youth! We will be set up in the Rural King parking lot of 1227 Burkemont Ave., Morganton from 8am to 1pm. Look for the 4-H signs and tents. We appreciate your support and look forward to you this Saturday, May 7 between 8am and 1pm. Join us in the effort to support these youth and their families.
