Stitching Memories 4-H Sewing Program

Burke County 4-H is excited to offer the Stitching Memories Sewing Program! In honor of long time Burke County 4-H’er & Volunteer, Patricia Clark (who excelled in the 4-H clothing, sewing, and wool programs), we want to offer a self-paced independent study for youth to experience the joy of sewing. Youth will commit to a 1-year program, working under the guidance of the 4-H agent, to complete one or more sewing projects they select based on their sewing experience. All tools necessary to complete a 4-H sewing project are available to be loaned to the participant for the duration of the program. Youth will also receive curriculum, resources and occasional workshop trainings. Youth may apply multiple years to complete projects if needed.

4-H Presentations

A 4-H presentation is a public speaking event where a 4-Her delivers a formal speech, demonstration or illustrated talk  on a specific topic of their choice. The goal of a presentation is to teach others about their chosen topic while developing their public speaking skills. Presentations are a key part of 4-H where youth learn to research, organize information and present their findings to an audience.
