Are there really benefits of eating organic food? Let’s start with taste. Taste is highly subjective, and differs by person and product. The taste of produce can be
impacted by many factors, including weather, nutrients, the variety, and postharvest handling. This is true whether or not a product is organic.

Next is Nutrition. There is no definitive answer about whether organic produce is of higher nutritional quality than conventionally grown produce.

Now let’s talk pesticides: Both organic and conventional agricultural practices use pesticides, but organic production uses pesticides of natural origin.Experts agree that consumers should minimize consumption of both conventional and organically approved pesticides. According to the USDA, conventionally grown produce may contain greater pesticide residue than organic produce in some instances, but at levels that have been determined to have no adverse impact on health by the FDA.

Environmentally, Organic farming is designed to minimize negative impacts by conserving water and soil and reducing the use of man-made chemicals.
Now for Food Safety: Fresh produce, regardless of the production methods used, can become contaminated anywhere from farm to fork. Data show that overall there is no difference in the end production contamination potential of organic or conventional produce.
