Hello this is Nicki Carpenter, 4-H Extension Agent with North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Burke Center.

4-H Summer Fun opportunities are sprouting! Follow Burke County 4-H/ North Carolina Cooperative Extension on  Eventbrite, Facebook, Instagram and our webpage to view the latest 4-H Pop-Up Opportunities! This summer will offer a hybrid experience as we transition to more in-person 4-H activities. Our summer Pop-Up opportunities will increase as the summer progresses and restrictions lift. Several workshops are already set and will be released for registration soon.

You can always request to be added to the 4-H email list to receive updates and information first! I am looking forward to working our way back together! Workshops for you to look forward to: "Just Grow It", a 9 week hybrid experience with weekly kits to explore plant science, "Foods Around The World"- virtual 5 day 'cook-along' exploring 5 different countries, kits and instructions will be provided. "Healthy Habits Family Time" Garden based learning for the family, kits provided, and "Science with your Snacks", STEM meets Healthy Living with this series of food related mini-mysteries. Registration will open soon. Be sure to follow us.
