Hello, this is Nicki Carpenter, 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent
with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Burke Center.
This year, National 4-H Week is October 5th through 11th, and Burke
County 4-H youth are proving they’re not just ready for the future — they’re
Beyond Ready.

As part of America’s largest youth development organization, 4-H empowers
nearly six million young people nationwide through hands-on learning in
leadership, service, STEM, public speaking, agriculture, and more. Right here in
Burke County, youth are gaining real-world skills that prepare them for careers and
for life.

During National 4-H Week, members, alumni, and volunteers will wear green,
give back through community service, and share their stories using
#4HBeyondReady.
