Hello, this is Nicki Carpenter, 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Burke Center.

Our Burke County 4-H Summer Fun program will kick off with our Kids Cooking Camp! June 4, 5,and 6th, workshop participants will learn basic cooking skills, kitchen equipment & safety, menu planning, nutrition, table setting, local food tours, grocery games, and prepare their own snacks and meals. The 4-H Kids Cooking Camp is for any youth ages 8-13. To register, you can go to our Burke County Center website and print off a 4-H Summer Fun Registration Form to mail in, or the easiest way to secure your spot is to stop by our office. We are located in the Burke County Agricultural Building on Ammons Drive in Morganton off Enola road. Again, the 4-H Kids Cooking Camp will be on June, 4, 5, & 6th from 9am to 3pm. Spaces are limited. Be sure to check out the other 4-H Summer Fun Camps being offered that are also listed on our website. We hope to see you soon!
