Hello, this is Nicki Carpenter, 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent
with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Burke Center.
A you begin your “spring cleaning”, I’d like for you to consider donating
your unwanted items to our annual Burke County 4-H Yard Sale fundraiser. Our
fundraiser yard sale will be on Saturday May 3, from 8am to 1pm. We will hold
our 4-H yard sale fundraiser at the Burke County Fairgrounds off of Bost Road in
Morganton. This year, same day, same location, we will be partnering on
fundraising with the Burke Extension Master Gardeners as they host their annual
plant sale. That’s not all… If you have enough stuff to have your own sale, do it
with us by reserving a vendor spot! Your donation toward the vendor spot supports
our 4-H program and your sales are for you. So, here’s the information again: the
Burke County 4-H Yard Sale will be Saturday May 3, 8am -1pm at the Burke
Fairgrounds. To request a vendor spot, food truck spot, or to make donations, you
can call our Burke Extension office during normal business hours at 828-764-9480.
