Hello, this is Nicki Carpenter, 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent with the
N.C. Cooperative Extension, Burke County Center. Burke County 4-H is hosting a one-day sewing camp designed to introduce youth to the basics of sewing and fabric crafting. Join us Tuesday, November 4th, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM for the 4-H Beginner Sewing Day Camp: 4-H – Head, Heart, Health, and HAND-MADE.

Open to youth ages 10 to 18, participants will learn simple hand stitching, sewing
machine basics, pattern reading, measuring, and safe equipment use. Each youth
will complete a beginner project to take home!

This camp is perfect for beginners or those wanting a fun sewing refresher—and
it’s great preparation for our upcoming Holiday Gift Sewing Workshops.

Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged. The cost is $20 per
