This is Sophia Mozgala, the 4-H Summer Intern with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Burke Center. Today I want to inform you about the upcoming 4-H Summer Events.

4-H is offering several camps this July and August. Coming up we have the My Town camp for ages 14 to 18, July 17th through the 20th. During this camp teen youth will learn to engage in our community through entrepreneurship skills, money & time management, and networking! In August, the 1st through the 4th we will be hosting a Homestead Camp for ages 9 to 18. Youth can learn through hands-on experiences, the basics of homesteading. This will include travel to Old Salem, Biltmore House, and many fun-farm-finds along the way! Finally we have 4-H2O Camp August 7th through the 11th where kids ages 12 to 18 can participate in kayaking, white water rafting, swimming and a two night camping trip.
