Hello, this is Nicki Carpenter, 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Burke Center.
Show off your creative skills and participate in the Burke County 4-H Hobby Horse Show! Participation is open to all Burke County, NC residents and you do not have to be in 4-H. The show will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday November 11 at the Burke County Fairgrounds. The Hobby Horse Show will take place while the carnival is going on. You may pre-register at the Burke Extension/4-H office, or prior to the show on Saturday. The 4-H Hobby Horse Show is for all ages (including adults). You can bring your own hobby horse or rent one of ours.
The classes or divisions of competition within each age group are:
Racing Sprinters, Steeplechase, Show Jumping, Barrel Racing, Fun Run, and a costume contest. Winners will receive ribbons and prizes. You do not want to miss the 4-H Hobby Horse Show. Saturday November 11, 2-4 p.m. at the Burke Fairgrounds. Bring a chair and cheer on our participants!
