Hey there, this is Tanner Collier, the Horticulture Agent with Burke County Cooperative Extension. I want to let folks know in Burke County and surrounding counties about an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in improving their soil and learning more about regenerative agriculture. Burke County Cooperative Extension invites you to join us for “Cover Crops Your Way”, a two day workshop right here in Burke County!

The event will kick off on Thursday, October 22nd, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Burke County Extension Office, located at 130 Ammons Drive in Morganton. This will be an instructional session and it will cover the benefits of cover crops, different cover crop varieties, and the benefits of soil testing. Then, on Saturday, November 14th, from 10 a.m. until noon, there will be a demonstration at the Oak Hill Community Park and Forest, located at 820 NC Highway 126 in Morganton.
