Hello this is Nicki Carpenter, 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent with North Carolina Cooperative Extension Burke Center.

Introducing 4-H Project Spotlights for 2021!

Each month, a 4-H Project Area will be spotlighted to offer awareness, education, opportunities and fun! Kids and caregivers can discover new fascinating project areas and/or build upon existing interests! There are too many 4-H project areas to name all of them, so I have picked a few to spot-light each month this year! February was baking, March – Plant Science and April – Healthy Living. The February baking spotlight followed our January Sourdough Science with recipes, vocabulary, and activities to expand your baking knowledge. March Plant Science offered several free Grab-N-Go gardening kits. Past monthly spotlight information can be accessed through our Burke Extension website at burke.ces.ncsu.edu. Follow Burke County 4-H on Facebook/Instagram and Burke Cooperative Extension on Eventbrite and our website to see the most current activities.

If you would like more information or support furthering a 4-H project area, please contact our office. We want to know what projects areas you would like to learn more about and experience. Hope you enjoy our monthly 4-H Project Spotlights!

Thank you, this has been Nicki Carpenter, with North Carolina Cooperative Extension Burke Center. For more information, please call 828-764-9480
