Tanner Collier
Hey there, this is Tanner Collier, the Horticulture Agent with Burke County Cooperative Extension. I have some exciting news for folks in Burke County. Burke County Cooperative Extension invites you to become an Extension Master Gardener volunteer!
This 14-week class starts January 19th, with classes held on Tuesdays from 1 to 4 PM at the Burke County Extension Office located at 130 Ammons Drive in Morganton.
You’ll learn about everything from vegetables, lawns, and native plants to insects, tree fruits, soil testing, and pesticide safety. And that's just the beginning.
The main focus for this class is to teach participants about being a volunteer and preparing them to support Extension after completing the course.
The cost is $70, which includes fees, supplies, and field trips. Books will be provided by the Burke County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association. Don’t miss out on this reduced price for this year's class!!
Applications are due December 4th, and you can pick one up at the Burke County Extension Office. Once again, that's located at 130 Ammons Drive in Morganton.
Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to give back to your community.
If you have any questions or need more information, just give me a call at the Burke County Extension Office at (828) 764-9480.
I look forward to seeing you there!
