As we head into June, the question of "What produce can I expect?" always arises. June is typically the start time where we see the "summer" fruits and vegetables show up. You will start seeing them at farmers markets and roadside stands throughout Burke County. You can find everything from blackberries and blueberries to potatoes, peppers, and corn.
Remember, just because we see it in the grocery store doesn't mean we can grow it anywhere at anytime. The seasonal fruits and vegetables that are grown locally are going to start showing up right now.
