Burke County 4-H: A Season for Skill & Community

(Updated: April 22, 2026, 12:51 a.m.)

It’s going to be a busy season for 4-H youth in Burke County! Our local members are preparing for a series of events that showcase their hard work, creativity, and leadership.

Here is your guide to the upcoming 4-H calendar.

County Activity Day

Presentations are a key part of 4-H. County Activity Day is scheduled for May 18 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

This event focuses on 4-H Presentations, a core program area designed to help youth develop public speaking skills and subject-matter expertise. The evening will also feature the 4-H Talent Show and the Fashion Revue, where participants display their performance arts and sewing or modeling talents.

For those who excel at the county level, the journey continues across North Carolina:

  • District Activity Day & Talent Revue: June 13 in Asheville
  • State Activity Day: July 21 in Raleigh

May Club Meetings: Open to All

Jump into 4-H this month! Our May meetings are agent-led, free of charge, and open to all interested youth. While registration is not strictly required, please notify our office if you plan to attend so we can prepare materials.

  1. Donate: We are currently taking donations. Please contact our office for information on approved donation items and the process of drop-offs.
  2. Vendor Spots: If you would like to be a vendor or reserve your own spot to sell, please let us know.
