Collapse ▲Microsoft Word can not open for editing a PDF (.pdf) document. The options for editing the text of a PDF document are to copy and paste from Adobe Acrobat Reader to Microsoft Word or have the PDF document converted.
There is an online document conversion tool that can be used to convert PDF documents to Microsoft Word format. Zamzar, located at http://www.zamzar.com/, can make this conversion. The steps in the process are:
- Upload your document to Zamzar using the Browse button.
- Choose the format you want it converted into, .doc in this case.
- Give the website your e-mail address so you can be notified when the document is ready.
- Click on the link in the e-mail you receive from Zamzar and download your file.
The converted document is formated the same as the original by the use of text boxes to hold the original spacing between the elements the same. Clicking inside the text boxes will allow for normal editing of the text.
