Introduction to Beekeeping 2020

The Burke County Beekeeper’s Association is presenting its annual Introduction to Beekeeping School on Saturday, February 15 and Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. This 2-day school will consist of classroom work and hands-on activities. On February 29, there will be a cookout for participants from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and certificates will be handed out. The workshop and cookout will be held at the Burke County Agricultural Building located at 130 Ammons Drive in Morganton. As a part of the class, a field day will be held in March or April (date and location to be determined).

All of the basics will be covered by area beekeepers and resources for beekeeping supplies will be available. Lunch will be provided both days as well as a manual for first-time beekeepers along with many other materials and a 1-year membership in the Burke County Beekeepers Association.
