Pest of the Vegetable Garden Workshop

Workshop:  Saturday, June 1, 2019
Location:  Morganton Ace Hardware
Time:  10:00 a.m.

Do you have your garden planted? If you do, that’s great but the work has just begun. Aside from weeding, watering and fertilizing, there are going to be pests that will try to take what you’ve worked really hard to grow. It’s frustrating to the home gardener who doesn’t know what to apply to control these unwelcome critters. It’s no fun to watch the whiteflies destroy the tomatoes and the potato beetles eat the potato plants down to the ground.

But there are pesticides that can keep garden pests away from your fruits and vegetables. First, you need to know the insect or disease you are fighting and then you need to be aware of the proper time to apply pesticides to that particular pest. Then, of course you have to know what to apply.

If these are things that you would like to learn more about, you need to plan on attending the Pests of the Vegetable Garden workshop that is coming up on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Morganton Ace hardware at 10:00 a.m.

Many of the old standard products have been taken away but there are new, safer alternatives that work well. You’ll learn about these new products and information will be given out to help you make the best choice for your own garden. Both the workshop and the popcorn are free so plan on joining us for Pests of the Vegetable Garden.
