If you’ve been thinking about adding some beehives to your property, you don’t want to miss the upcoming Introduction to Beekeeping class that will be held at the Burke County Agricultural Building on Saturday, February 17th from 8:00 – 4:00. The class will be taught by members of the Burke County Beekeepers Association. You’ll learn everything you need to know to get started and the best thing about the class is that you will have a wonderful, on-going support system to get you through those uncertain early days.

The cost of the class is $50 and the fee includes a 1-year membership in both the Burke County Beekeepers Association and the North Carolina Beekeepers Association. You’ll also receive a reference notebook and lunch.

For more details or to register, call the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Burke County Center at 828-764-9480.
