Burke County Cooperative Extension is excited to announce this year’s “Report to the People,” on Tuesday, Nov. 29th at 6:00pm there will be a special presentation film viewing at Marquee Cinema in Morganton to celebrate Farm City Week.

From Academy Award winning director James Moll comes FARMLAND, an in-depth documentary about the next generation of American farmers and ranchers. Most Americans have never stepped foot on a working farm or ranch or ever had the opportunity to talk to the people who grow and raise the food we eat. Get an insider view of the world of farming and a first-hand glimpse into the lives of this generation of farmers and ranchers.

In addition, participants will have the opportunity to meet the Burke County Cooperative Extension Staff and learn about the importance of agriculture to our community.

If interested, you must register and be on the guest list to attend the viewing. Special thanks to our sponsor, Burke County Farm Bureau. Seating is limited so if you’re interested in attending, please call (828)764-9480 or email spring_williams@ncsu.edu or glenda_burgess@ncsu.edu.
