Burke County Names New 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent
Burke County Cooperative Extension has named Nicki Steer as the new 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent as of Sept.1, 2015.
Ms. Nicki Steer is a graduate of Gardner Webb University with a degree in Elementary Education. She most recently was employed as a Teacher Assistant at Dudley Shoals Elementary School.
Nicki has a strong affiliation to Cooperative Extension as she grew up in the 4-H program as a member and volunteer leader in Caldwell County. She has also worked as a 4-H Program Assistant in Burke County from 1998-2001. Nicki will bring a wealth of knowledge and tradition to the Burke County 4-H program through her varied experiences with 4-H from leadership trainings, school enrichment, club project work, exchange programs and more.
“I’m confident that Nicki will play a key role in providing and implementing high quality programming to the citizens, both youth and adults in Burke County,” stated County Extension Director, Spring Williams-Byrd. “Burke County Cooperative Extension is pleased to welcome Nicki Steer as a member of our staff.”
