4-Hers Complete Project Records
At the end of each year in 4-H, Burke County youth complete 4-H project records that tell what they have learned in their 4-H project. Projects can include livestock, 4-H Electric, art, leadership, citizenship, community service, science, technology, wildlife, and entomology. These projects are the individual work of each 4-Her and a way for them to tell others what they have learned and did.
This year over 40 4-H project books were submitted and 20 will continue on to district competition.
The following 4-H clover buds, ages 5 to 8 years old, completed at least one blue ribbon 4-H project record book: Andrew Vasile, Aubrie Snyder, Avery Pollard, Ellie Shuping, Faith Payne, Georgia Wood, Jessica Henson, Lily Cook, and Maddie Crouch.
The following 4-Hers completed at least one blue ribbon 4-H project record book: Charlie Yancey, Emily Shuping, Jacob Hanlon, Serenity Williams, Sierra Henson, Amelia Tipton, Atticus Hogan, Grace Payne, Nick Thompson, Abigail Cinquanto, Alyssa Botelho, Burke Pollard, Cheyenne Botelho, Sidney Mull, Wyatt Tipton, Alex Sinden, Caroline Sinden, Jamie Berry, Mollee Soirez and Pate Pollard.
Mollee Soirez also completed a 4-H Portfolio, which is a cumulative record of their 4-H project work over the past 3 years. These portfolios are for senior 4-Hers as they advance in their 4-H careers. Mollee received a blue ribbon and her portfolio will continued on to district and state competition.
These 4-Hers were all recognized during our 4-H Achievement Night event hosted by Burke County Cooperative Extension on Tuesday February 24th. Congratulations to them for all their hard work and accomplishments in their 4-H Project work this year.
