Help Burke County Cooperative Extension collect 100 HUGS! Part of our mission is to improve the lives, land, and economy of the citizens we serve. One of the ways we can do this is by giving back to the community and teaching others to do the same, through the H.U.G.S. Project. As part of our project, Burke County Cooperative Extension will be collecting donations beginning now through December of Hats and Hair products, Umbrellas and Undergarments, Gloves and Groceries, and Scarves and Socks to be donated to local organizations serving our citizens. Items donated must be new items or gently used and can be dropped off at the Burke County Agricultural Building at 130 Ammons Drive in Morganton. These items will benefit Burke Mission Station, Options of Burke County, and Burke United Christian Ministries. Our final collection day will be December 18th so that the collected items can reach those in need by the holidays. So, now is your opportunity to join in the celebration of our centennial birthday by sharing H.U.G.S with others.
