Beef Quality Assurance Training

— Written By and last updated by

Burke County Cooperative Extension will hold a Beef Quality Assurance Training on Thursday, April 17th, at 7:00 p.m. This training will focus on preparing producers for the certification test. The Beef Quality Assurance Program provides producers with the knowledge and background to help insure that a quality product is supplied to consumers. BQA certification is now required by some buyers and special sales. Highlights of the program include record keeping, injection site management, feeding, and animal care. Prepare your operation now for the future. Upon completion producers will take the test and become certified. Certification fee is $15.00 for NC Cattlemen’s Association members and $40.00 for non-members. Recertification is every 3 years. Please call the Burke County extension office to register at 439-4460.
