With the holidays quickly approaching, many are often in search of a unique and meaningful gift for the children in their lives. Burke County 4-H would like to suggest giving your children the gift of 4-H Summer Camp for the holidays. 4-H Summer Camp is an excellent summer learning opportunity in a fun-filled environment. At 4-H Camp, youth have the opportunity to do many things they just can’t at home.

This coming summer, Burke County 4-H will be camping at the Eastern 4-H Center in Columbia, NC, on the North Carolina coast, July 27 to August 1.

Camp activities at the Eastern 4-H Center include swimming, campfires, canoeing, kayaking, crabbing, fishing, environmental and aquatic studies, crafts and lots of other exciting activities. To learn more about this camp please visit their website at http://www.eastern4hcenter.org/

4-H Camp is open to all children ages 8 to 14, and children do not have to be a member of 4-H to attend. There is a $75 non-refundable registration fee required to reserve a camping spot, as space is very limited. The total cost for the week of camp and transportation is $500.

If you would like more information about 4-H Summer Camp please contact the Burke County 4-H office. So this year instead of the usual gifts, consider 4-H summer camp with Burke County 4-H!
