Extension Announces Trip to Kentucky

Burke County Cooperative Extension is pleased to announce they will be sponsoring a trip to the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky, May 15-18, 2013. This trip is open to ALL Burke County citizens.

We will travel to the Lexington Area, where we will tour the Horse Park, Area attractions, a variety of distilleries, cattle and horse farms, the Arboretum, Lexington cemetery and even a local Farmer’s Market. We will also spend a day in Louisville, Kentucky. Discovering how the Louisville Slugger is made to getting the inside track at Churchill Downs. Participants will also have the opportunity to taste and experience the world famous, Hot Brown at the Historic Brown Hotel.

The cost will cover lodging, transportation, registration fees, and most meals. Based on Double Occupancy the cost will be $700 per person. A deposit of $250 is required to reserve your spot, with the balance due by April 29, 2013. Spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
