4-H Youth Cattle Show

Burke County Cooperative Extension and Burke County 4-H hosted the Youth Cattle Show at the Drexel Community Fair on Thursday August 18th. Mr. Frank Bollick judged the show.

Youth exhibitors participated in showmanship, heifer, cow / calf pairs, and feeder calf classes.  The honor of Grand Champion Heifer went to Hunter Hudson showing Droid. Reserve Grand Champion Female was Kricket shown by Westin Key. Grand Champion Feeder Calf honor went to Pate Pollard with Moonpie. Reserve Grand Champion Feeder Calf was Hunter Hudson showing Kitty. All of the Grand Champions and Reserve Grand Champions received trophies presented by Mr. Roland Beck on behalf of Burke County Farm Bureau.

Burke County 4-H and North Carolina Cooperative Extension would like to thank the show sponsors: Drexel Community Fair, Burke County Farm Bureau, Belle Farm, Espey Hardware, Homer’s Feed and Seed and the Burke County Cattlemen’s Association.
