Upcoming Garden Adventure

— Written By N.C. Cooperative Extension

Would you like to see how mushrooms are grown? Or maybe you’d like to sit down to supper with an Amish family on a working Amish farm. Would spending a day at the famous Longwood Gardens with their intricate network of European style fountains and thousands of flowers and plants be right up your alley? Does history and an opportunity to see historic Philadelphia sound like something you would like to experience?

All these things and more are waiting for the travelers who embark on the Extension Master Gardener trip that is set for June 8-11. We will travel by motor coach to Pennsylvania and spend four days exploring the area. Almost all of the meals are included in the price of the trip and we will stay at the same hotel all three nights so that luggage can stay put. A big plus is that you’ll be traveling with a great group of gardeners and experts who can answer all of your horticulture questions.

The cost of the trip is $675 based on double occupancy. For a complete itinerary and details of the trip, call the Extension office at 439-4460. Call immediately because June will be here before you know it!
