— Written By N.C. Cooperative Extension

Burke County 4-H along with Staples of Morganton sponsored the Burke County Fair 4-H Coloring Contest. This year over 1000 youth entered coloring sheets for the contest. A first, second, and third place award was given for each age. All entries were displayed inside the Burke County Fair Exhibit Hall through out the fair. Winners received fair premium money as well as gifts from Staples. All contest winners were invited to a special awards ceremony on Thursday November 4th, at the Burke County Cooperative Extension offices to be recognized and to receive their prizes. James Lamb and Lana Ramsey of Staples of Morganton and Burke County Cooperative Extension 4-H Agent John Davis, were on hand to distribute the awards and prizes.
