Extension Annnounces Trip to Washington, D.C.

Burke County Cooperative Extension is pleased to announce they will be sponsoring a trip to Washington D.C., April 7-9, 2010.  This trip is open to ALL Burke County citizens.

The trip will focus on a day at the National Arboretum to view al the spring beauty, in addition to the opportunity to see the many cherry trees, hopefully in bloom!  Participants will also spend time touring Arlington National Cemetery, the historic monuments, and memorials, Library of Congress and more.  There is also a reserved tour of the US Capitol. 

The cost of the three-day excursion will be $350 per person with a $100 deposit due Feb. 15th.   However, after this date, spaces will be limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Participants will be staying at the Hampton Inn Washington Dulles Cascades (double occupancy) and will be travelling with Holiday Tours.
