Day of Choices – Opening Up Ways to Talk

— Written By N.C. Cooperative Extension

If you can begin to talk about the end of life while people are still healthy, you will have made a significant contribution to your family and you will discover important information about yourself.

Take advantage of a unique opportunity in our community to learn about the services and organizations available to help individuals and families prepare for end of life care, whether it be decades away or sooner.

Day of Choices, sponsored by Life Directions:  The Burke County End of Life Coalition is Saturday, September 27th at the lower level auditorium of Grace Hospital from 9 am until noon.  You will learn about advance directives, estate planning, wills and legal documents, funeral planning and services and see displays from community resources.
Keynote speaker Alyce Kemp-Dewitt will entertain and encourage you to take a new look at yourself, you attitudes and what you want in life.

As a Life Directions coalition partner, I will have Cooperative Extension resources available and speak about Conservations Bridging Generations – ways you can open up conversations with your family and friends about end of life decisions.

Pre-register by calling 828-879-1601 before September 10.
