Gardening In Limited Space

Are you looking to down-size the garden?  Maybe you just don’t have the time to weed and take care of a large garden space anymore. Or, maybe you just don’t want to grow a large garden.  No matter what the reason, plenty of gardening can be done in small spaces.  You might be surprised at how many vegetables can be grown in limited space.  The harvest can still be quite large.

Not only vegetables will be discussed, as container gardening with flowers and shrubs is also a great way to keep your skills honed without having to plant, weed and water on a large scale.

Lifestyles change as we move from houses to condominiums or apartments and interests also change.  Some folks choose to spend more time fishing, golfing, quilting or traveling rather than plowing the garden.  If this sounds like a good idea to you, plan on joining us at the Extension office at 6:00 pm on March 7.  You’ll come away with some great ideas and perhaps even some spare time!

The Extension office is located at 130 Ammons Dr. in Morganton.  If you would like more information about this upcoming workshop you can give us a call at 439-4460.  The workshop is free but we ask that you call and register so that we can make sufficient preparations.
